Dr. Abella-Desuyo was born and raised in northern California. She attended California State University, Long Beach where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with an option in exercise science. After receiving that undergraduate degree, she pursued and received a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at Southern California University of Health Sciences - Los Angeles College of Chiropractic where she furthered her knowledge and augmented her skill set with proficiencies in nutrition management, manual therapy, sports therapy, musculoskeletal rehabilitation and physiology.

Throughout her life, Dr. Abella-Desuyo has always enjoyed being active. During her graduate school years she spent time training and running half-marathons and trying various physical activities and workouts - bootcamps, CrossFIt, Orangetheory. She utilizes these experiences to further her understanding and knowledge of biomechanics, injuries, and recovery. Her experiences have deepened her ability to relate to patients to allow for a genuine connection.

Upon receiving her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, Dr. Abella-Desuyo started practicing family and general chiropractic in Los Alamitos. Here she continued to learn to serve all types of populations and cases. As a chiropractor, she utilizes a whole-body/whole-person approach to find and treat the root cause of patients' symptoms. She looks to the spine when evaluating a patient's entire body and treats accordingly, as she understands that complete health relies heavily on how body parts affect each other biomechanically. Using this unique system, Dr. Abella-Desuyo is able to help her patients accelerate and maintain their journey to good health. She strives to help people live more enriched lives and has found her passion in helping eliminate the barriers that stop people from doing what they love.
